Terms of Use for the Stø company portal
"Portal Terms"
1. Introduction
The Terms of Use for the Stø company portal (hereinafter referred to as "the Portal") govern the relationship between BankID BankAxept AS (hereinafter "the Company"), as the provider of the Portal and various services under the brands BankID, BankAxept, Kundesjekk, and Stø, and the businesses that are granted access to the Portal to order services directly from the Company (hereinafter "Merchant").
Upon first login to the Portal and during the establishment of a customer relationship, individual users will be informed of the Portal Terms and required to accept them before proceeding.
2. Purpose of the Portal
The purpose of the Portal is to simplify interaction between the Merchant and the Company via a secure online platform. The Portal allows the Merchant to order various services from the Company and provides full transparency and an overview of the customer relationship.
The Portal is a self-service solution provided by the Company "as is" to Merchants who choose to use it. The Company does not charge any fees for using the Portal.
3. Access and User Administration
To gain access to the Portal, the Merchant must create a company profile. In order to create a company profile, the Merchant must be a legal entity registered in Norway with an organization number registered in the Register of Business Enterprises (Brønnøysundregisteret).
The user creating the profile on behalf of the Merchant must authenticate themselves using BankID or MitID. The Company will then verify the user's role within the Merchant against the Register of Business Enterprises . If the user is not listed with a role at the Merchant in the register, they must contact the Company for manual registration.
The user who creates the profile will automatically be granted administrator access to the Portal. The Merchant must always have at least one administrator user authorized to manage user access within the Portal. The administrator is responsible for ensuring that administrator access is kept up to date, inviting new users, and promptly removing users who no longer require access to the Portal.
Employees of the Merchant can be invited to create Portal accounts by an administrator. To access the Portal, employees must accept an email invitation sent by the administrator, log in with BankID or MitID, and accept the Portal Terms.
4. User affiliation with the Merchant
Only employees of the Merchant can gain access to the Portal.
The Merchant is responsible for ensuring that individuals designated as Portal users have the necessary authorizations to use the Portal on behalf of the Merchant and to bind the Merchant in situations where the Portal allows it, such as placing orders or making changes to the customer relationship.
The Merchant is responsible for ensuring that all information about the Merchant and its users is accurate and up-to-date in the Portal.
The Merchant is also obligated to notify the Company without undue delay if any significant issues arise that affect the Merchant's use of the Portal, such as discovering security breaches in its systems that may impact the Portal.
5. Processing of Personal Data
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Company’s privacy statements, available at: https://stoe.no/personvernerklaering-for-stoe-portal.
The Company may also communicate with Portal users via various means, including electronic communication (SMS, email, etc.), to inform, advise, send newsletters, or market or sell the Company’s products and services. Users may at any time unsubscribe from newsletters and opt out of receiving further information about new products and services by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the newsletter.
6. Limitations of Liability
The Company cannot be held liable for any loss resulting from lack of access to the Portal or from errors or inaccurate information in the Portal.
The Company is not responsible for losses caused by any use or misuse of the Portal or if information in the Portal is misused or used for purposes other than those intended.
7. Duration, Changes, and Access Suspension
The Portal Terms shall remain in effect as long as the Merchant is registered with a profile in the Portal, regardless of whether the Merchant has active services with the Company.
The Company may amend the Portal Terms with one (1) months’ notice.
In cases of breach of the Portal Terms or misuse of the Portal, the Company may revoke the Merchant’s access to the Portal with immediate effect.
The Company also reserves the right to fully or partially suspend access to the Portal if deemed necessary for security, maintenance, or operational reasons.
